coach requirements

Thank you for signing up to coach with Central Valley FC!
Before you can begin coaching, you must complete the requirements set by US Club Soccer and the Oregon Youth Soccer Association.

❗️Until you have been officially cleared by CVFC, you may not coach CVFC players in any capacity. All requirements must be completed once per year. If you complete them in the Fall, you will (most likely) not need to repeat them in the Spring.

Kinder / U8 / U10

Requirements:
  1. Create Gotsport Account (https://home.gotsport.com/login) Use the same email you used to sign up to coach. You may have to create a new password.
  2. Navigate to your "Dashboard" in Gotsport. You will need to complete the following:
    1. Safesport (90 Minute Course) this course should be free (you may need to create a Safesport account. Use the same email.)
    2. Background Check (free using voucher code 123456)
    3. Staff Registrant Annual Registration
    4. Adverse Eligibility List Review (Staff)
When complete your Dashboard should look similar (with corrected dates) as the image below.

U12/14 rec & All Classic

Requirements:
  1. In your SportsConnect account click on the "Volunteer" tab. You should see a list of items needing to be completed.
    1. Risk Status: This is the background check and automatically processes 
    2. Concussion Certificate:
      DO NOT USE THE LINK in sports connect. Instead use: https://www.train.org/cdctrain/course/1089818/details
      After completion you will need to email your certificate to the registrar.
    3. Safesport (90 Minute Course) should be free using the link.
      After completion you will need to email your certificate to the registrar.
    4. Coaching License:
      This is the same as the “Coaching Certificate”. Use the link below to complete the required coaching course: Introduction to grassroots coaching. https://learning.ussoccer.com/coach/courses/available/16/details/1546. 
      After completion you will need to email a screen shot of the course completion because there is no completion certificate.

Other Info

Safesport Requirements:
  1. If you have completed the 90 minute course "Safesport Trained Core" you will only need to complete refresher courses once per year.
